What do Age Concern Do In Suffolk?

Age Concern Suffolk is an independent local charity, established in 1948 and covering the county of Suffolk. The charity works with and for senior citizens in Suffolk, campaigns on their behalf and is a provider of direct services and support across the county.

Could you be one of the 300?

From Felixstowe to Mildenhall, Sudbury to Lowestoft Age Concern Suffolk is looking for over three hundred new volunteers, to assist in a number of different roles such as charity shop work, befriending, Tea Room drop-in-centre, information, advice and advocacy work and helping its affiliated lunch clubs.

It asks from just one hour a week to whatever you can offer to assist in its busy, friendly shops and to meet the increasing demand for its caring services. In return, it provides training, the chance to meet and make friends and new learning in addition to using your own skills and a chance to help your community.

If you are looking for paid employment, volunteering is a great way of enhancing your CV, as Age Concern Suffolk provides a task description, training and references.
